Promotion and Sale

I went shopping at Robinson yesterday and grabbed myself a windbreaker and some clothes. I found that most promoters won't tell me about their promotions or discounts, unless I asked about it. I know that they give out discounts as long as I redeem the coupons at the customer service counter as I did that on Saturday, but only bought clothes for my kids.

Maybe they thought that I'm a tourist, and I can't speak much Thai. So, they rather not wasting their time twisting their tongues in broken English. A note to all the tourists who shop in Bangkok, remember to ask about how can you get discounts from the normal priced items. Most shopping malls give out discount cards to expats and tourists, even if it's only 5%, take it! LOL!

Besides that, check out the digital signage or banners and read about their sale details. Even if it's in Thai mostly, but there might some smaller texts written in English. So, read it. :P

Should I Remove My Wisdom Tooth?

My wisdom tooth is bothering me for few days already, that's why I don't have mood to blog unless it's needed. I'm still thinking if I should go to the dentist as I went through the procedure once and it's still very scary to me!!! I would prefer not to do this again, but I wonder if the pain will go off.

Just check out how it's done, and tell me if you will do it.....

I can't eat. No need Leptovox also I can shed some weight off. I don't know any dentist here in Bangkok and BIL and SIL don't see a dentist regularly. Which dentist can I trust? Aiyo....

Christmas Soon

I'm not good at organizing parties, that's why I try my best not to have one at home. I'm clueless on how to cook for a lot of guests, and I hate to do the cleaning up when the party ends. It's too much work to me, so I would prefer to have parties elsewhere than my house.

Furthermore, it's pretty boring to have guests at home with only food. You might need to think of some games or events to keep them entertained. If you are organizing a Christmas party soon, check out the christmas party games at Celebration.com and maybe you will find a few games which might interest your guests. But if you are expecting kids, I think you will need a spacious room for the games as kids can get pretty excited with games.

So, are you going to have Christmas party this year? Or are you attending one? I would prefer to attend a party than organizing one though. LOL! Too bad I don't have a lot of friends in Bangkok, so I don't have any invitation this year. Most probably, my Christmas will be spend at home with my family, or shopping in the city. That doesn't sound too bad to me.

Black and White

It's my first day at work after 2 weeks and I'm the new joke at the office. LOL! I didn't know that the Thai nations are mourning for 3 days for The King's eldest sister Princess Galyani Vadhana, who passed away on the 2nd of January. Everyone is advised to dress in black but not in bright colors, but here I am, dressed up in bright yellow, like the royal colors! Die loh...

It's not so obvious if I stay in the office, but just now, we went out for lunch, and I was the only YELLOW in town. LOL!

How I wish I can get this set of jumpsuit from Topshop and pair it with shoes by Manolo Blahnik (dreaming only la...the shoes so expensive!)

Gosh, how am I going to go shopping later? So embarrassed la...

Bangkok, Here I Come

After days of doing nothing much except knitting, crocheting, makan makan until I need some fat burners liao and drinking lots of Kopi-0 given by Tannie, it's time to fly back to Bangkok this evening. Hubby will meet us at the airport while I'll drag 2 big luggage and kids in a taxi. My kids better behave well in the journey!

So, life will be back to normal once we go back to Bangkok. I know that hubby is definitely busier with work after so many days away, and my kids are going to start a new school term. They already missed the first 2 weeks of the term, so it's time to get back to school.

So, see you in Bangkok!

Missing Home

I can't believe this. I'm actually missing Bangkok. It's been more than a week since we came back to Malaysia, and I've started missing Bangkok. I really feel like Bangkok is my home now, and I can't wait to go back to my own bed, my room, my garden and my office desk. Siao liao loh...

My kids are having a good time with their cousins, and I know they might cry when we leave, but my boy is eager to return to school. That means all of us settled really well in Bangkok huh?

I'm glad that we will be back soon and life can be back to normal...

No Lens

I packed most of our things when we are traveling around, but this time, hubby helped me to pack my contact lens case, when he's packing his lens and glasses. I didn't know about it until we arrived here. I actually laughed at his effort as it's an empty case without any lens in it! I threw my lens last week because of eye discomfort. I haven't worn contact lens for years, and I'm still not used to it yet. My eyes are kind of dry by late afternoon and it's not comfortable to have the lens on.

I'm tempted to get a new pair of eyeglasses, maybe something cheap from Zenni Optical. I have never looked good in glasses, so if there are a wide variety of frames to choose from, hopefully I can find something suitable for myself.

I won't be wearing the glasses most of the time, and maybe only when I drive. It gets dark as early as 5.30pm in Bangkok, so I need my glasses if I drive my kids home. It's pretty dangerous driving when I can't see clearly right?

BTW, I think I will ask hubby to get another cheaper pair of glasses too. My kids also step on his expensive glasses! Gee...thank god the optical shop never charges him when we bring the glasses for mending. :P

Back to Ipoh

I arrived in Ipoh yesterday, and the first thing I did was went over to the knitting shop. I had to hand in some finished projects and also looked for new ones. So far, I have only got 2 more new projects and there should be more, if I can find something nice to knit.

Too bad I don't have a car, so I can't go around like I used to. So, that means I will be spending more time knitting at home. I guess...

Feasting in Penang

I'm having a good time in Penang, and since the day I arrived, I've been feasting like crazy. LOL!

This afternoon, we went over to the island to get our visas, but before we went to Thai immigration, hubby dropped me at my favorite laksa stall in Ayer Itam. What I meant by "dropped" is he stopped the car by the road, took care of our sleepy kids in the car, while the wife went to the stall feasting on a nice bowl of Penang laksa. You say la, where to find a husband like this? LOL!

I did ask him to come down and eat, but his tummy was not feeling well. Maybe we have been eating too much and he can't take the risk of having spicy and sour bowl of Penang laksa.

Anyway, it's nice to be back home. I will travel back to Ipoh soon and I want to go for dim sum!!! This short trip back home is better than any Disney vacations, especially to a food lover like me.
